Our BIPoC communities have long suffered injustice in the U.S. As an environmental organization that focuses on education, stewardship, and conservation for all, we at Friends of North Creek Forest recognize that racial, social and economic equity are prerequisites for environmental justice. We must act to undo the systematic racism that has plagued this land for over 400 years. To engage in anti-racist work, our board meetings will include a continuous agenda item of addressing systems of oppression within our organization and stakeholder community.
