Meet Rileigh - our Forest YOGA instructor
Rileigh took her first yoga class in 2013 and immediately fell in love. To Rileigh, yoga means connection; connecting the mind, body, and spirit in a compassionate, authentic, and fulfilling way. In her own words, Rileigh would describe yoga as, “a heart-centered practice that calls us to embrace our deepest wisdom and truths in each moment; both on and off the mat".
Rileigh completed her 200-hour RYT certification at Discover Yoga in June of 2018. She is trained in the Viniyoga style of yoga, and loves to incorporate some restorative postures in her practices as well. She would say that the greatest teaching yoga has given her is how to value the body and inner self as they are, and lead life centered in compassion. Coming from a background in ballet, it was monumental for Rileigh to learn to listen to the body instead of forcing into a supposed image of “perfection”. Yoga has opened the way for Rileigh to learn to embrace being human!
Rileigh desires to create a safe, healing environment for her students to play, learn, explore, and cultivate a deeper and richer awareness. She realizes that she is simply a vessel for the gift of yoga to flow through to others, and that she learns as much from her students as they do from her. Rileigh’s wish is that her students come away from each practice feeling successful and as if they learned something new.
