National Radio Coverage
Sunday's article by former Congressman Norm Dicks and former Governor Dan Evans includes: "From protecting land along the Pacific Crest Trail and ensuring access to ranges in the Cascades for hiking and hunting to protecting the last urban forest in Bothell..."

The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office reports on the release of grant funds to Bothell for acquisition of lands in North Creek Forest. Note: Congressional funding for the program is so weak the award is spread out over two years. This award is on top of an earlier one which the city is, we expect, using to negotiate a purchase before the grant expires.

The King Conservation District posted directly to our Facebook Page: Friends of North Creek Forest. Click on their logo at the left. The red circles are area schools. The triangle is Bothell City Hall. The conversation about conservation involves, in part, those dots and triangle.

Saving North Creek Forest is becoming a "poster child
" for conservation. Call it The Little Forest That Could. It can't talk or write but those exposed to it understand how significant this forest is and are willing to go to great lengths to see it saved.

Our Mission goes national on November 21st. Stay tuned for the exact broadcast time and station. Our understanding is the interviews will be live. This is not going to be a news blip. It's going to be a full discussion. We will update you soon...

Thursday November 14th
7:00 PM
Municipal Court Building
10116 NE 183rd St.
Bothell, WA 98011

Please attend this important meeting. We want the Board to consider placing a very high priority on purchasing the remaining parcels of North Creek Forest. We see signs this is a problem. The forest could be lost.

See you there. Thanks FNCF
