Strategic Plan: 2017-2020

In 2016 the Friends of North Creek Forest Board of Directors launched our first multi-year strategic plan. The organization's main goal has always been to save the Forest, and for the first five years of our existence, that meant acquisition. With the land secured, we know shift our efforts toward developing a sustainable organization that will be able to take care of North Creek Forest in perpetuity. To this end, we have identified the following strategic goals that will guide our work from 2017-2020.

• Promote educational and recreational programs that involve the community and inspire responsible ownership.
• Have a strong and diverse presence in Bothell and the surrounding community, including strategic partnerships and a community that values and depends on us.
• Have a solid infrastructure that supports a diverse constituency of staff, volunteers and program participants and puts us in a strong position to fulfill our mission.
• Create a robust and sustainable revenue stream with appropriate funding to support 3 FTEs and metrics that track the efficiency of its use.
• Maintain Forest health to provide educational and recreational opportunities to improve and maintain ecological integrity for future generations.
