Soundview Students participate in the Build A Tree Activity from Joseph Cornell's Sharing Nature with Children We are so fortunate to have fifth and seventh graders from The Soundview School come and work with us in the forest every month. We are always impressed by their knowledge, attentiveness, and especially their hard work! In the past two months, Soundview students have learned about the trees and birds that live in and around the forest, and have helped make North Creek Forest a healthier place for those trees and birds with their stewardship efforts. Whether it is removing ivy, blackberry, and other invasive plants from the restoration site, moving huge waste piles into a dumpster, spreading mulch, or ripping up grass to prepare the ground for planting, they have happily done every job we have asked of them. Thank you Soundview students! We look forward to continuing this great partnership between Soundview School and Friends of North Creek Forest!
